Add ReviewDo not do business with this company. I ordered a slide in June. Fairly fast delivery but the slide was damaged and wrong color. I requested a refund. They said they could send a new slide in the correct color. I asked for verification of the new color and they said they couldn't send an order confirmation until the slide was shipped. No confirmation sent but two days later they called and said the slide will arrive in a few days but the wrong color. I asked them to cancel the order and issue my refund. They didn't. I found tracking through our local freight company who confirmed the order was not cancelled and I refused the order. Again, I requested a refund. They said they couldn't issue refund until the slides made it back to the vendor. I stayed in contact with the freight company. Both slides sat for two weeks because the vendor wouldn't approve shipping back to them. Eventually the slides were shipped back. I called repeatedly requesting my refund. They said when the slides make it back, it'll be an additional 7-10 days to issue a refund. I followed tracking given to me by the freight company, which Doheny's said they didn't have, and contacted them with verification the slides were received by the vendor July 21st and requested my refund. I paid for the slide June 23rd. It's August 9th and still no refund. Although every issue was by fault of Doheny's or the vendor (Global Products), I have not been issued a refund. They stopped returning my calls. Still no refund. I've taken it up with my credit card company.Report
PURCHASED A POOL PUMP. PUMP BURNED OUT AROUND THE ONE YEAR MARK. I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM FROM 930 AM TO 1230. THE CALL WAS DISCONNECTED 4 TIMES A SUPERVISOR WOULD NOT COME ON THE PHONE OR CALL US BACK. THE COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU NEED ANYTHING. A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID A SUPERVISOR BY NAME OF VERONICA WAS SUPPOSE TO LOOK INTO THE ISSUE AND CALL. SHE OR THE COMPAMY HAS NOT CALL ME BACK. BETTER TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSEReport
Suggested they take off the phone options, because they don’t work anyway. There is NO tech support nor technicians. There’s only 5 women who know about pumps & pools, & even their knowledge is limited. I tried to help customers to the best of my abilities, despite not knowing a single thing about pumps, pools, chlorine etc….Report
I felt bad, because customers would ask for help & they would literally never get a solution.
Wrong parts being shipped or not shipped at all. That Doheny 1.5HP pump constantly breaking down, having a bad motor or arriving broken for tons of customers.
*** The warehouse uses the pumps as door stoppers outside the building, to keep the doors open during breaks or for fresh breeze. Could be why they all are broken.
FedEX constantly looses packages or doesn’t deliver at all, but lies & claims they did.
Packages are constantly damaged or broken on arrival. Orders being cancelled without customer being notified for months, while still waiting for order. 10 minute breaks & no real perks after sitting for hours & getting screamed at. So many customers take it out on customer service, when its DOHENY’S fault.
Very horrible experience & my blood pressure went up everyday working here affecting my health.
A lot of Supervisors & leads tend to have an attitude or don’t wanna help customer service. They don’t really let you talk & yell over you, to get you off the phone.
The supervisor & leads all say 50 different things, so getting a DIRECT, HONEST & HELPFUL answer from customers is impossible. So many customers complain, but it does not nothing. Doheny’s doesn’t care.
I ordered a 200 sq ft cartridge filter/pump combo and it works great. I also read descriptions closely before I ordered. So I knew that it was in stock, not on back order, and also that it says next day delivery but due to limited staff it may take a few days more. I ordered it Wednesday and it was on my doorstep Thursday. Doheny worked very good for me customer service wise and the equipment is on point as well. Thanks everyoneReport
Horrible place to work as a woc. Stephanie G could care less about the workers and the customers. Not sure why she still holds the position she does as manager. She doesn't manage anything, besides her cell phone. This call center needs change, they created postions to bring about change. Once we were there we got a lot of 'well thats not how we do things here' grrrhhhh get with today!!!!!! Honestly, John D, if you are going to have people underneath you as the top dogs like Stephanie G and Sheila M - good luck because they are not friendly and Sheila is always stresssed. The Seasonal reps steal, its not clean and not professional. Representative are allowed to go to work in pajamas & house shoes - meanwhile sups/leads have to wear professional attire. Uh uh. Care for your customers and care for the people who represent your company. This company does is not focused on its customers and their values - its all about making money.Report
Opened our pool and pump was dead. Water didn’t look bad. Ordered a pool pump from Dohenys. 4 days later received wrong thing, a box of filters. Pool really getting green. Had hard time getting through to company.. finally got a person in another country at a call center, then finally got routed back to customer service in the US. I had to send the filters back (no cost to me). Waited 3 more days (they wouldn’t expedite shipping even when this was their fault..pool now nasty dark green.) Got the pump but it came with a broken plastic connector ring. Managed to install the pump without their broken part. (4 days later got the replacement). When we finally got the pump running, pool dark green and could not see the bottom. This would not have happened if they took the time to send the right order.Report
Wanted to return a pool kit that I didn't need after all. One guy told me he would send me a paid shipping label. Of course he didn't. Called again the guy never even put in my file about this communication! Needless to say the lady I talked to said I would have to pay my own shipping!! Can companies in the US get away with this robbery? Oh yea I pay the postal service for the returning the government gets paid!Report
Horrible, horrible customer service. I’ve already spent nearly two hours dealing with four incompetent phone reps and one helpful person and still don’t have my pool cover. Maybe it’s coming but I won’t believe it unless I see itReport
Their pool solar covers fall apart. They wouldn’t honor warranty claiming the cover was misused and they don’t warranty when the bubbles come off.Report
Ordered solar pool cover that was advertised as free next day delivery. Once I completed my order, it said due to large number of orders and limited staff, orders may take longer than expected to arrive. Ordered Monday morning and received item on Friday. Why are you advertising free next day if you can't deliver? False advertising, is what got my business. It's also going to cost you future business.Report
