I enjoyed this cruise immensely. Captain Alissa is an expert navigator who got us inches away from various waterfalls. Moreover, she made sure we got excellent views of icebergs, glaciers, and wildlife. We got as close as possible, resulting in excellent pictures and videos. Additionally, Alissa is very knowledgeable about the area, and is an absolute joy to talk to. This was an unforgettable experience that will last a lifetime -- I cannot recommend Adventure Bound enough.

I would not recommend anyone take this trip at this time. The Captain and crew make it too dangerous. Alaska's state law is to wear masks. We got on the boat in our masks and we're really shocked to find out that almost every seat was sold. So no opportunity for any social distancing within the cabin. We were packed onto the boat with other travelers from across the U.S. including Florida and Arizona. Initially, all but one woman from Seattle (a hotspot of Covid activity) wore masks. Then the guide/deckhand stepped forward and said, "I had a covid test pretty recently so I won't be wearing a mask." The other guide and the captain did not wear masks. Well, within an hour about 10 other people took off their masks. And by the end of the trip 10 others had stopped wearing their masks. We took Covid test to come to Juneau and wore masks and gloves on a two hour flight from Seattle. That flight had Hepa-filtered air. The flight attendants and pilots were masked. We had a moment of considering getting off the boat. But we didn't and spent the trip worried about how everyone was behaving.

Went on a tour on Captain Cook's ship. While the tour itself is great and the glaciers are a sight to behold, there were no precautions taken for covid-19. None of the crew wore masks inside the cabin (except for when they did food preparation, which is commendable but not sufficient). This tour was booked at more than half capacity which meant that there was very little room to socially distance inside the cabin. While Juneau has passed a mask mandate for boat cabins, this was not enforced by the crew. As a result many people were spending a lot of time in close quarters with unmasked people.
If not for covid-19 this would have been a great trip. But things being as they are the group should either enforce the mask mandate (for guests and crew), underbook the tours so everyone can practice safe social distancing, or notify passengers of the risks.

We had an amazing time on this trip. The staff was so friendly, the views were phenomenal, and the food/drinks were very reasonable prices. We saw eagles, whales, a bear, seals, and a spectacular glacier that was very active on the day we went! The trip was a full day and did not feel rushed at all. Got a lot out of it for a great price. This is a must do if you are in Juneau!!

Despite the shortage of travelers resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, they organized one of their Tracy Arm fjord boat tours for a half-sized contingent of passengers on July 6. For the price (~$170 per adult) it was a really good deal: we saw a number of whales (albeit mostly at a distance), black bears on various shores, seals lounging on ice floes, many wonderful waterfalls, and of course the Sawyer glaciers. Both glaciers even calved a little while we were nearby, so we got some good photo shots out of it.

Took a full day trip down Tracy Arm with Steve and his deckhand. Logistics - meet up at 8AM, get back at around 5:30. It's a full day. Steve has been doing this for over 20 years and it showed. Expertly pointed out eagles, bears, whales, seals, waterfalls, you name it. Navigated with care around the ice as we approached the glacier, which was calving when we got there. Food was inexpensive onboard ($5 sandwiches, $1 coffee) and they were cool with brining our own food and drinks aboard. Steve also was great about taking time to really see things...we hung out at the glacier for about 30 minutes and it didn't feel rushed at all. Highly recommended!
