I wanted to know the status of an online order item showing back ordered at check-out & the customer service rep was so rude she wouldn't even let me ask my questions before she snapped at me to say all I could do was place the order & call back 30 minutes later. All I wanted to know was whether they could fill the order or not. I am not going to pay for the item we need to close the pool if it's not going to be available.Report
Waited almost three months for a back ordered item (pool start up kit), then waited almost another two months for Doheny to agree to a refund. The whole refund process took 6 emails, 4 phone calls, including literally hours wait time for “customer service” to come on the line. Now it will be up to an additional six weeks to process my refund. Basically the time line started on April 24th and will take up August 22nd to get refund. That is pretty much my whole pool season.Report

Ordered a pool pump 1st week of June. Never once was there a backorder notice on the sale. 2 weeks later they backordered it for July 9th. Then yet another backorder email to the 7th of July. Which was strange. Now the 15th of July!!!!!!! Just be straight with people and not BS with them. Just do not understand what the point of stringing customers along is? Would have gone with another pump if I would have known.Report
Worst service, promised next day shipping on 6/24/20, it’s 7/8/30 and still can’t guarantee I’ll receive my order anytime soon. Wasn’t on back order until a week after orderReport
Pool chemicals are terrible. Algaecide doesn't work...Menards was much better! Shock discolored my liner. Will never get another product from them again. Buyer beware...Use In-the-swim or Leslies, anyone besic=des these guys!Report
I ordered a Doheny's jetdrive ag robotic pool cleaner in May, 2020. I used it twice and then it quit working. I've been trying to get in touch with them for weeks now. I get put on hold for 30 inutes every time I call and then get the runaround. Nobody has a clue what is going on with my claim. Still waiting for them to resolve this wether it be a refund or replacement. At this rate pool season will be over and I will be without a cleaner and out $330. I understand they are short staffed due to covid. But if they can't stand by their products they should not be selling anything. I would give them zero stars if I could. Will never use Doheny's again. Ever.Report
Let me start by saying I understand the state our country is in with the COVID-19; however, companies should be upfront in their ability to provide a product in a timely manner. That being said my husband called on June 10, 2020 and ordered a in stock pool liner. He was told it would be 7-10 days before we received the liner. I received an email with an estimated delivery date of June 19th, 2020. We have not received the liner yet and it is June 30th. I called on June 20th to inquire about a shipping status and was told they would contact the vendor and get back to me by the following Wednesday. Prior to calling I had emailed customer service also just simply asking for a shipping update, no response until June 29th. So when I didn't hear anything on that Wednesday my husband called and asked about the liner and he was told the they had informed me (wife) that it would be six weeks before we received the liner. Clearly a lie. He requested a refund and was told we should receive a refund within 2 days. Guess what those two days have come and gone, we are on day 6 of waiting on a refund. I responded to the email I received on June 29th requesting a refund and have not heard anything from them. We only ordered the liner from Doheny because they told us we would have it in time for the fourth of July. We informed them the we were planning a graduation party for our daughter who will be going off to college and didn't get an opportunity to have a normal graduation. So, now I have to change the date of the party. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company when it comes to customer service. I would just say be leery of ordering from Doheny.com.Report
Very Poor Customer service during COVID-19! When I first ordered on 06/09/20 there was a back order date listed. Later got an email that said it was backordered and estimated delivery was 07/04/20. Then got another email saying it was backordered (estimated delivery is now 08/10/20) even longer and that it was discovered that our previous email was sent with an incorrect backorder date due to a system issue. I called on Monday 06/22/20 to cancel the order. Had to wait 16 minutes on hold to actually talk to someone. Was told the order would be cancelled and I would receive an email confirmation that the order was cancelled. I did not receive an email confirmation so now on 06/26/20 I had to call again. This time I was told that it was already cancelled but they were a little bit behind on sending out the email. I can understand the COVID-19 delay excuse but you should be up front with the customers about backorders. I would have never ordered this product knowing it wouldn't even be delivered until summer was nearly over.Report
We called to check on an order that we placed in early June. We were told it would be shipped out and have it by the 23 of June. We called today, only to find out the order was now on back order and not expected to be in stock until late August. We were hung up on when we told them to just cancel the order. The first car we made it took us over 30 minutes to get through only to be hung up on the second call the same thing happened and it took us over 30 minutes to get through only to be hung up on. I would really like somebody from corporate to contact us.!Report
