A tradition continues... Mama Vitale's Italian food and cooking at it's best! Mama and papa Vitale's never ending drive to prosper and succeed began with a small vegetable stand in 1928 on the corner of Rice Street and Little Canada Road, and in 1939 they opened a root beer stand out of their home. After a tornado, fire and the Venetian Inn being torn down for a new area development, two of the Vitale brothers, Joe and Jim, reopened in the present location in 2002, in an effort to carry on the family tradition. In 2006, Connie LoBaido Marchio (Mama Vitale's granddaughter) became part owner with Joe. In 2011, Joe obtained Connie's interest and, with his daughter Lisa and other dedicated employees, will continue to make your dining or catering event an enjoyable experience.

I just had my birthday lunch there today and it was delicious and our server was wonderful ????Report
Insanely nice staff. This place is definitely aimed for the old folks around town, which is totally fine, just don’t expect super high quality Italian when you get here. Needs an renovation, very badly. I had the ribs with the side of spaghetti, ribs fell off the bone but lacked flavor. No dry rub, just bbq sauce. Also spaghetti could have been better too. Bread they give you is seriously the same stuff you get at public high school. I’d like to come back and try some other things, again, the staff was so sweet and seemed to know everyone personally. I thoroughly enjoyed people watching as they mingled together, table to table, even if they weren’t sitting with each other everyone seemed to know everyone else. Super cute.Report

Very good Italian restaurant. Lunch specials.Report
Very dated interior featuring old banquet chairs and tables that have chipping paint/stain. The food was not as good as I had hoped it would be. They had cooked and cellophane wrapped display meals out for viewing, which I found to be more concerning than appealing. I will very likely not be returning.Report
