My wife and I stayed here for a wedding at City Park and couldn't have been any happier with our stay. The SHADOWS room was amazing with all the amenities of the present, but we felt like we had gone back in time. Bonnie and staff were so friendly and took great care of us. If you have a question about anything in N,O., simply ask Bonnie! The next time we're in N.O., this is where we'll stay. There is a lot of work going on with the Street Car towards Tulane. Plan on taking the RTA bus towards Canal & Lee's circle, and you can pick up the Street Car there to get to the French Quarter. See Bonnie for passes.Report
I wish I could rate this a 3.5. It was truly a nice home. The staff and owners were likable and helpful in every measurable way. My complaint is the breakfast. While this seem like a minor point to lose a star over, I would argue the rooms that I rented were for a bed and *breakfast*. Had I known that the breakfast would be better categorized as continental breakfast, I may have just opted for the Holiday Inn.Report
My boyfriend and I went to New Orleans for Spring break and we chose to stay at the Grand Victorian and it was the best decision ever. Not only was it located in the beautiful garden district, the house itself was charming and wonderfully furnished. Plus it was conveniently located right next to the St. Charles Street car stop. The room was great. very comfortable and breakfast every morning was delicious. I highly recommend staying here for any occasion. Bonnie and Rachel take extra care to make sure your trip is just the way you want it and your stay is better than ever. I'll definitely be returning there next time I go to New Orleans.Report
Some of the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was awesome. The one thing that was on the negative was that we were sitting on the balcony and one of the housekeepers was on the balcony smoking and talking on her cell phone and she never left until she was done. I thought that was very unprofessional of her and she was not friendly at all. Another time I saw her cleaning a room and she was still on the phone. I will come back because in spite of that one person I still enjoyed my stay.Report
We had a spectacular visit. The hotel is very well maintained, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect, with the streetcar stop right out front and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. I highly recommend the GVBB.Report
What a great spot for a NOLA trip. You are right on St. Charles street, but no street noise in our room. Loved the convenience of the streetcar stop right outside the hotel. Rachel is super helpful when you check in and they have good advice about the Garden District and Magazine St restaurants. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.Report
We visited New Orleans in August - the heart of heat/humidity season. Our plan was a quick get-away to a city we had never visited and we enjoyed our trip despite the heat! Our accommodations were perfect for us! The room size was generous, the A/C and fan very welcome, and the nightly Ferrero Rocher chocolates were just the right treat. We hopped the St. Charles street car to The French Quarter and Central Business District, enjoying local cuisine, The National WWII Museum and other sights of the city. Bonnie and her staff were very helpful in guiding us to destinations. Despite an early morning send off where we missed breakfast, Bonnie left us some treats for traveling. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!Report

Our recent trip to NOLA was for a wedding. I am a history major and fan of novels written about New Orleans, and knew I wanted to stay in a historic Inn. After viewing many choices we settled on the Grand Victorian B&B. The location was a determining factor. The Garden District is host to many historical homes and sights. Yet the B&B is a street car ride away from the French Quarter (just cross the street & you are on). The Grand Victorian is a beautiful home and very spacious and private. The staff was warm and friendly and even gave me a peek at the other rooms : )Report
This was my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast and it won’t be the last!! The whole process was seamless from start to finish. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. If you’re in New Orleans for any reason this is the place for you.Report
Hotel located minutes from the French Quarter in a wonderful New Orleans Garden District.
