Staff was very kind and helpful. The Nottoway room was unique and away from the street noise |The bed was most comfortable |Loved the antique furnishings.|The era of the bed and breakfast was manifested in the woodworking throughout. |In walking distance of Commanders Palace.|Loved the balconies

This beautiful Victorian house was made for Christmas! It is really an unknown gem! Some of the pictures floating around online look old & dated, the house had a complete “glow up” from the inside-out in 2021-22.|Gardens are beautiful, bed linens & rooms are fresh & updated! We were there with the amazing Christmas decorations! Snowflakes light up the gardens at night…just beautiful! Such a sweet & romantic getaway! The streetcar is literally steps away from the front door, such a good location with easy access to all of our favorite New Orleans spots! Thank you to the welcoming GV staff! We will be back again soon! Don’t miss this one at Christmas time!

My wife and I came to visit our daughter at Tulane(which is a street car away). The house was beautiful and had modern amenities without taking away the historic aspect. A wonderful surprise was that they started decorating for Christmas. The decorations are beautiful and the inn keeper told us they were not even finished yet. We are already planning our return to see them and of course our daughter. We got to travel to so many places with the street car in the front of the house and the fact that magazine street is a walk away! My wife and I can’t wait to come back!

I totally enjoyed my stay here while attending my niece's wedding at The Columns, which, compared to the GV is way overpriced and DARK. The Grand Victorian is reasonable, and it's charming! Part of the reason I so enjoyed it is because I don't expect the owner of a century-old house to pamper me like a child at the Ritz. Yes, the aged but effective AC is quite the blow-hard. So, pull up that wonderful blanket provided and get cozy. No, the breakfast muffins are not homemade. The eggs are, and they're just fine, as is the bacon! And the TV doesn't take up a full side wall of your room! Thank God! So, what the hell are you expecting? Hoyt, the innkeeper, isn't a gregarious type, but he also doesn't get in your business unless you invite him in. I appreciate that. So, grow up folks and live a little "less-than" while surrounded by Eastlake hardware, hardwood floors, 14-foot ceilings, and moulding that is to die for!

Great old Victorian type home located on St. Charles at Washington St. Trolley stops both directions right at your front door. Walking distance to bars and some restaurants including Commanders Palace. Rooms were nice, individual thermostats, nice and cool! Some rooms have double tester beds so do your research. Too small for me, but some rooms have bigger beds. Nice patio and perfect location. Breakfast just average, not as nice as most other B&Bs I have been too...

A beautiful restored home on St. Charles Ave. The location is great right across the street from a trolley stop. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Staff was friendly. The only possible knock would be breakfast. Better than a continental, but much of the food seemed store bought (frozen waffles, cut up fruit, mini muffins) vs freshly cooked. The only coffee available is from a Keurig. Overall though, a beautiful and convenient place to stay!
