Add ReviewWhile the building itself is well-maintained, there is little hospitality. Few amenities one would expect from a high end BMB. Bathroom floor in the Evergreen room, where my husband & I stayed, needed scrubbing; no afternoon wine or coffee and dessert offered. In the cramped dining room where breakfast was served, guests had to stand on line to make coffee. Breakfast was adequate but each morning we were served only 1/2 muffin with it. The housekeeper never made himself available to greet us in the dining room; we had to go over to him at his computer & greet him. He never tried to learn what we were doing in order to offer suggestions. A hall light aimed into our room made sleeping difficult; the ac vent were aimed at the bed so you either slept hot or cold. I did write to the housekeeper once we returned home to share some suggestions to improve the service: he didn’t seem receptive. We have used b&bs for over 20 yrs in our travels; this one didn’t live up to expectations or offer the value it should have for the price we paid.Report
The best bed-and-breakfast we’ve ever staid at. Rich history and amazing food in a great location. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Bellaire! Right next to some great restaurants too. Don’t skip the cookies either, soooo good ????.Report
The house is one of the most beautiful work of architecture I have seen! Being a solo traveler the location was perfect and in walking distance of delicious restaurants (Commanders Palace,Joey K's etc.) I found so many fun things to do! The streetcar pulled right up to the house which was absolutely a dream! The staff was so friendly and helpful on what to do in this wonderful city! I will definitely be making another trip down not only to see the city but to stay at the grand victorian!Report
We had such a great experience here! The building itself is gorgeous. We've stayed at a lot of older hotels and b&b's in New Orleans and this is the nicest by far. The rooms are comfortable and elegant and the staff is incredible. Can't recommend this place enough.Report
Such a lovely, charming old house with excellent, attentive staff. Right on the trolley line so it was super easy to get to the French Quarter, and right in the middle of the Garden District! The trolley wasn't loud at all throughout the night. If I ever need to stay in New Orleans again, I'll certainly go back to Grand Victorian!Report

An absolutely stunning old home. Innkeeper was very kind and accommodating. Beautiful location nestled in lots of history. Room was spacious and inviting. Easy access to street car and public transit for French quarter exploration. Would definitely stay againReport
We stayed at the Grand Victorian just before Christmas to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Making our reservation was easily done online and the arrangements to arrive and check in were accomplished perfectly. The innkeeper Hoyt was genial and well informed and we enjoyed our conversations with him. He was well versed in the history of the Grand Victorian and we enjoyed learning about this stately mansion. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable. The bed was like a cloud and the bedding was luxurious. The bath area was large and well equipped with linen and soaps. We made good use of the downstairs sitting room which afforded a great view of Saint Charles Avenue. The Grand Victorian sits in a perfect location for dining, shopping and of course the streetcar. Our stay was a complete and total delight and the included breakfast every morning was a joy and a wonderful way to start the day. Stay here, you won't regret it.Report
