Boardman House Inn Bed & Breakfast

My sister and I stayed here recently and absolutely loved the Boardman House. Mia was a gracious and friendly host - her Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, and selection of Keurig coffee and tea was just perfect. The home was a lovely mix of both old and new, and our Corner Room was so comfortable that we really felt at home. Mia keeps the place spotless, both inside and out, and the pretty seating areas outside are simply welcoming. We are already taking about our next trip since we'd like to stay in the Boardman Room next time, also perhaps taking in a show at the Goodspeed theater that's a short walk down the road. Effervescent and magnanimous, Mia made my wife and me feel instantly welcome in the exquisite Boardman House Inn. As co-owner, Mia prepared our breakfasts to order and delighted us with friendly conversation and personal recommendations for local activities and restaurants. Since the Inn is within a two-minute walk of the renowned Goodspeed Opera House, my wife and I strolled over to a remarkable matinee performance of Fiddler on the Roof and stopped for ice cream at the charming, family-run Sweet Shoppe on the way back. The two nights we spent in the sizable and elegant Garden Room were relaxing and luxurious. The Boardman House Inn maintains all the charm of an historic residence while offering a full buffet of modern amenities. We could not have been happier or more comfortable at the Boardman House Inn.

My wife an I spent a theater get-a-way evening in East Haddam and spent the night at the Boardman House in the Corner room. As B&B's go, this is first rate. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bath must have been recently renovated and featured heated floors and towel racks, and a good sized shower.

A hot breakfast of Mia's fine french toast was available, in addition to other, more continental options. I am looking for my next excuse to stay there again.
