Amazing experience

March 2023 update: flew up with Jim(my) today. It was my second time flying and I brought our entire extended family for their first balloon flight. Such a wonderful company! Great communication, and wonderful pilots. I took them up on the post flight brunch at Ottimo, and we enjoyed that as well. I would 100% recommend this company for hot air balloon flights in N CA.

Fabulous company! Would definitely fly with them again if I have the opportunity. JT (?) was our pilot and he was friendly and knowledgeable. And the staff were all friendly as well (I chatted with Brenda briefly.) I truly enjoyed my first experience up in a hot air balloon. The balloon wasn’t crowded; I understand they limit the number of guests to 12. Our balloon had 10 yesterday and it was perfect.

Absolutely amazing experience.

This was something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. Team was professional and efficient. This is the only company that takes off conveniently from parking lot right in Yountville (15 minutes north of Napa). Meet up is at 6:50 am with friendly easy check in, waiver sign off and some coffee, tea, croissants, muffins, and power bars while stragglers come in. They make time for nearby bathroom break available ahead of flight. Aloft had no more that ten or so passengers per balloon and everyone gets an amazing view from little compartments divided among the basket to keep people from clustering and throwing off weight, I guess. Anyway, all good. Lift off and landing were gentle and it’s beautifully quiet up over the vineyards and looking out to San Francisco and the sea. Guides were knowledgeable and everyone had a great time. Van takes you back to starting point. Expensive at $270 per person but so special we thought it was worth it for once in a lifetime views and memories.

Really great experience. Staff is very friendly and experienced. Our pilot Derrick has been flying for 25+ years in the area and knows a tremendous amount about flying balloons as well as the area. It is also very safe they have an outstanding safety record as of this writing, no accidents. The views are fantastic. Aloft has some of the prettiest and most colorful balloons. They are also the only company grandfathered in on a license to takeoff from Yountville. Parking is easy and they bring you back via a van to your car. Wear layers in the non-summer months.

Balloon ride with Napa Valley Aloft was in my top ten life experiences -- and I've trekked in Nepal, been to game parks in Africa . Our balloon flight was beautiful, peaceful and fun. Two bonuses from our flight were the extra hour of flying time when winds kicked up at our first landing site and we had to abort, and Pilot Pete! He was super at pointing out interesting sites and the history of the area, and answering all of our questions. And he was superb navigating some tricky winds to bring us into a later perfect landing.

The most fantastic experience. Smooth ride and landing. Couldn't ask for a better anniversary gift to ourselves. The brunch afterwords exceeded our expectations, was in a lovely location with scrumptious food!

Based on my experience i would say that this was the best hot air ballooning experience in Napa. The ground staff who helped us Brenda is very courteous. Our pilot Pete was amazing in explaining piloting of a hot air balloon while showing incredible views of Napa valley. The flight was 2 hours (normally its 45mins) long due to fact that there was no landing sites nearby and the weather that morning that worked in our favor an gave us extra time to soak up the views. Overall i would definitely recommend this experience with Napa Valley Aloft Hot Air Balloon Rides if you are visiting Napa.
