Tried to call (02AUG, 03:17pm) to schedule a visit after I broke my hand, appointment lady was extremely rude and was yelling at me for not knowing which office I wanted to go! I moved to Chicago 2 days ago and I don't know the area too well I just googled the nearest orthopedic to me and showed me this clinic! She told me to hang up and do more research instead of helping me out since I am in so much pain and just broke my hand.

I visited OSS and Dr. Ali for a fractured knee cap. The fracture was not bad, but there were several small pieces chipped where I had fallen on it.

I had been to one doctor at Ill. Bone and Joint who recommended surgery. I went to Dr. Ali for a second opinion, mostly because the doctor at Ill. Bone and Joint, while obviously qualified, brushed me the wrong way. Dr. Ali made his decision that surgery was not required. He did not look at or know what the previous doctor recommended. He made his own decision from the x-rays/mri. I was in a brace and doing physical therapy for 3 months. Good as new - I am 64 - so maybe my knee is not the same as it was when I was 30, but I am happy with the results, and especially happy not to have had surgery.

The staff was amazing. I could speak to or call his nurse anytime, and got a call back within 24 hours. Once or twice he called himself. One time I did wait a long time. The other times I was there it was well within the acceptable range.

I would recommend Dr. Ali to anyone whole heartedly.

My review isn’t criticism of Dr. Ali but more so Western medical practice. From the reviews I read, most patients are satisfied with his work. Dr. Ali is professional and knowledgeable. I agree with reviews that his staff are accommodating, helpful, and friendly.

In early November 2015, I suffered a severe left knee injury, torn meniscus and ACL, from a fall. I had x-rays, MRI, ultrasound, and multiple doctor visits with M.D.s, a Sport M.D., and Dr. Ali in December 2015. He did not recommend surgery due to my age, but rather recommended physical therapy and a knee brace. The therapy and knee brace helped, but recovery was still slow and painful. In late December 2015, a friend recommended acupuncture. After five sessions over nearly two months, I was able to run an 1.5 miles in 13 minutes 25 seconds. I used acupuncture as a supplement to Western practice and the pain from the initial injury is now practically non-existent. I’m disappointed Western medicine doesn’t practice or recommend this alternative practice. Acupuncture is over 2,500 years old and may have been practiced in China in a rudimentary form 5,000, even 7,000 years ago. There is plenty of information available on acupuncture as an alternative practice starting with Wikipedia. Happy Health!
