"Found out that both Ray and Steve Genco had not been in business together for more then a year. they claimed starting the company in 97. The younger one, ( I believe Steve) is a drain cleaner that has been fired from most of the local companies. He has never been a plumber. He did okay work but bullied my wife into extra work. The kitchen faucet was leaking and by the time he left my wife had spent 650 dollars because of his bs stoies. we stopped payment and rewrote a check for what was promised 275.00 I'll be honest, I only started checking on him after I found out he hit on my wife. It made me mad and found out they were fakes. check for yourself. no BBC, no insurance, no jp license. All the info you want is on-line. Ray the father is just as bad. Stay away from these guys. "

"Wow,Deanna.....very similar experience. Also would be prudent to know that this is NOT a licensed contractor. Check the Oregon CCB website for details, and buyer beware!!!!"

"We are buying a house, they came out to scope the line $175 (but he gave a us a great deal???) He was 1 hour late for the first appointment. Steve said it need to be hydro jetted, snaked and Rootx to really see if there was anything to worry about. Steve quoted us $500 to $600 to do the above. The day he came for the cleaning he was 2hrs and 20 mins past his appointment time and called three times to say he was 20mins away. He used the excuse of a meeting, that he just forgot and that he went to the wrong address. Once there he said it would be $772 and not $500 $600. When questions by us and the realtors as to why the bid changed he verbally danced around the truth but eventually agree to hydro and snake the line for $600 again telling us what a deal it was. The agreement was for him to be paid out of escrow for this task. Steve said that would be fine but asked for my credit card as back up. I agreed as it only seemed fair if he had to wait till the deal was final that he have a back up. I have an invoice that clearly states 9/15/09 for work done on 8/17/09. Once the pipes were "clean" the drama acting began. We needed a new sewer line, the trees in the front yard had to be removed and it would be$10000. But not to worry he was going to give us a deal. WHAT?!?! While there he rattles on about weight loss, his girlfriends (note there is more than one!) and anything but the job. We have since had 4 other plumbers inspections of the property and view the scope EVERYONE of them has said the same thing. The sewer is in need of repair. It did not need to be hydro jetted or snaked to know this. The high bid has been $5500 and the three other bids are $4500. It has been four days since this happened and guess what they charged my card for the $600, I spoke with the bank and thank goodness I have my invoice to show they took the money against our agreement. Call Camco, nice to work with someone who is not wacko. I will update my review if needed"
