One of the worst experiences I have had a Hilton hotel. Check-in resulted in being given a key to a room someone was still occupying. The upgraded room I was given due to the mistake was supposed to have free snacks and drinks, neither of which we stocked when I received the room or after. What the room did have was mites in the mattress. When a room change was requested, I was told no other rooms were available. When asked for a change of sheets, was told no one was available. After asking for the linens to do it myself, it took 3 trips to the front desk to get all the parts needed to make the bed. Overall the hotel was poorly kept and quite dirty compared to other similar properties in which I have stayed.Report
The check in experience was disaster, since the person at the reception desk was extremely rude.Report
I opted in for digital check in. I was offered to select the quite room looking at the parking lot, and I did it. Unfortunately, when I came to hotel they gave me a totally different room, looking to the street.
I went back to ask for a room change and initially the person working on the reception desk was nice and she told me they would change my room and give me a room looking at the parking lot. All good, I was fine with that. BTW, this person, and I'm sorry I couldn't see her name was polite and her attitude was appropriate.
However, another person interfered and she told me thay can't do anything about it since I technically already checked in into the room. This other person (I'm happy to share her name if someone from Hilton is interested to look into this) had a totally rude approach and didn't want to even bother to look for another room. I explicitly explained that I booked another room and she told me just because I had booked another room it was not guaranteed I was going to get it. Which makes me wonder why do they even ask their customers to pick up the room if it doesn't mean anything...
Regardless, the way how mentioned person communicates and the cynical and rude approach is so disappointing. On my way out from hotel, she was cynically smiling at me?!?!
Question for Hilton management: Is this the way how you intend to run the business? Because, this is nothing but the recipe for disaster.
If Hilton cares at all for the reputation they should think twice before putting someone to work with customers. I would never hire a person with this kind of attitude, not to mention letting them talk to customers.
Having the attitude I described above is a great way to lose your customers.
I used to stay in Hilton hotels, and I have their membership, but after this I don't think I will be staying at Hilton anymore.
I love this placeReport
The employees were very nice, the hotel was run down. Carpets were very dirty. The rooms are also very dark. This place needs to be refurbished badly.Report
The good: the place was clean, the lobby is very elegant, the staff were nice.Report
The disappointing: Our bed was extremely soft - we both sunk into the middle more than I have in any other bed. So, I had pretty poor sleep plus a sore back when I woke up. Had difficulty calling down to the front desk to ask questions using the phone in our room, and we didn't get a call back. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom which was weird. All in all, not a terrible stay. However, for the price I paid and the fact that it's a Hilton, my experience did not meet expectations.
Clean room and friendly staff.Report
