After years of frustration, treating only symptoms of dis-ease with toxic pharmaceutical drugs, Dr. Berman has, for the last nine years, been exclusively practicing Holistic Medicine with its' emphasis on addressing causes. While practicing for almost twenty years within the allopathic, symptom based model, he realized that, even though at times their symptoms were controlled, very few patients actually were cured. In addition to an outdated medical model, he realized that health insurance companies have a fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits, even at the cost of sub-standard patient care. They were not a patient advocate, rather a patient bulwark. This meant that with financial inducements, physicians are forced to try and ascertain complicated medical problems within a 20-30 minute time constraint. Dr. Berman treats all ages and variety of conditions. Dr. Berman believes in body, mind and spirit healing as one, and helps his patients learn how to help their bodies heal naturally, stop using so many harmful prescription medications, build their immune system and replace nutrients and hormones that they are deficient in. Because his concern for his patients is of utmost importance, he schedules a first time office appointment for between one and two hours to get to know all of you.
