About Michael Jacobs Vocal Studio

Michael Jacobs Vocal Studio is now accepting new vocal students. Michael works with students from seasoned Broadway professionals and recording artists, to beginners who want to improve singing for pleasure. He has experience with dancers, singers, and actors- both men and women- of various ages and voice types. He has even helped postoperative students recover from vocal surgery and has instructed students recovering from vocal damage. He is a seasoned New York musical theater technical teacher and performer with experience performing many different styles of music. He is the program director of NYCinMA, a 6 week professional musical theater intensive program and a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).

MJVS promotes vocal health for all styles of singing through a hybrid technical approach involving, breathing, stretches, body alignment/awareness, nutrition, yoga, Alexander Technique, Linklater, and mental health tailored personally to each singer. We strive to provide the best training possible to help each student on his or her vocal journey.

Michael's main studios are located in Astoria, NY and midtown Manhattan. He also guest teaches throughout the northeast (Boston Metro, Providence Metro, Long Island, Connecticut).
