Add ReviewGood hotel for a quick business trip to Springfield.Report
There was a storm that night so we stayed in town, we lost power shortly very few tv stations elevator doors were loud opening and closing and then a darking dog across the hall , ,and just too many people crowding in a small area for breakfastReport
Stay was good and right off the highway was traveling Made for a very good experienceReport
Management failed me and my family concerning our most recent stay over issue and the fact that my items were thrown in the trash.Report
Personally I will never ever stay at this location again.
Large people with pets, beware. Some people can sleep on almost anything, God bless them. I once counted myself among them until I got old. Checking out felt like parole, because the concrete mattress left me feeling like my cellmate must have beaten me while I slept. Morton, IL, Warrenton, MO, and Kingdom City, MO locations have really nice soft beds I highly recommend, but this one almost soured me on the entire HI Express brand because apparently they're hit and miss instead of consistently good. Pet fee isn't revealed on the mobile website until after booking, so if you're booking after the cancellation deadline, you might want to call ahead to do your research. Room was described online as having a pull out sofa bed with bedding, but we had to call the front desk to get comforter and sheets. They could have advised me at check-in, since I mentioned we would be using it. Apparently they don't honor the extra pillows request on rewards members' profiles. Rate includes access to the pool on the 14th floor of the Crown Plaza next door; a separate key is required, so be sure to ask at check-in or you'll be making another trip to the front desk. Awesome city view from the patio, but many of the pool room lights were burned out and they were out of clean towels. On the plus side, the A/C is central rather than an under-window unit, so it's powerful yet quiet. 11:00 AM checkout is a disappointment, as hotels at this price point should be 12:00 noon. Somehow they've managed to assemble a hotel that's simultaneously expensive yet cheap. This has the potential to be a nice property, but they're cutting too many corners for me to consider them a fair value for the price, which was over $250 for a one night stay all-in.Report
Great place. Quiet no disturbances. Clean had a good experienceReport
The hotel is wonderful. The breakfast selection is excellent. Also the room was comfortable and the price for the accommodations were reasonable. The location is near some great eateries and other small shopping areas.Report
Nice price and good quality. Staff was extremely nice, but the check in process was archaic and tedious. It took so long to get a key to my room. Every television, I mean every television, is tuned into FOX NEWS. "It's hotel policy" said one of the staff members. I didn't appreciate not being able to change the channel in the fitness center. Complementary water for IHG rewards members is a nice touch, but they don't offer that here. Again, nice quality, but I'll probably find alternative accommodations next time I'm in town.Report
We chose this hotel for its pool and semi-divided room. When we arrived the room had no divider (making it harder for our family of 4) and the pool turned out to be almost 10 minutes away in another building. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the food was good. But the lighting was uncomfortable in the room and bathroom and we never felt like we could completely relax. If you're traveling alone and just want a bed for the night, this place is fine. If you want to make a go as family and use all the amenities, I'd stay somewhere else.Report
