Highland Academy is a Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade private school located in Absecon NJ that serves a diverse student body in mixed-age classrooms with low student to classroom teacher ratios. Our educational philosophy is based upon the pioneer educator, Dr. Howard Gardner and his "Theory of Multiple Intelligence." as well as "Choice Theory". Students are taught fundamental academic skills and content in Language Arts, Math, Natural and Social Sciences, Computer Technology and the Arts. Classroom learning is supplemented by field trips, community service projects, academic competitions, and other hands on learning opportunities.
