Best haircut of my life!!! Fabio Scalia Salon really provides a familial vibe because the staff members are all extremely welcoming and friendly. Samantha actually listens to what you want while also letting you know what's going to be best for the health/style of your hair! I'm so happy I finally found MY go-to hair stylist, although I have seen the work of the others and they are ALL phenomenal.

Had to get something done to this postpartum catastrophe of my hair before an engagement shoot i have scheduled Tuesday, my regular stylist in queens for 18 years refused to do a bayalage without an in person consultation (at least 3 weeks before). I was skeptical to try somewhere new but I did it and WOW. No regrets. Rocco did an amazing job. He was knowledgable, personable and professional. Every min of traffic from jersey was worth it. And I found meter parking on the same block. (Trick: pay at the machine for parking first, then when/if you have to renew it, have the app on your phone to renew the time so you don't have to come out!)

I've been coloring my hair for years now, which has been especially important to me because I went grey at around 17 years old. So I have had A LOT of salon experience with not all of it being completely positive.

But Giulia is spectacular! I don't know how she worked her magic, because I came to her post Covid quarantine after having several doses of self-died henna in my hair. My hair, if you can imagine was several different shades of grey, blond, black and brown. Giulia worked with me on creating a short, and long term goal, which turned out beautifully! Especially as I'm writing this, which is about 1 year from my first color with her. After my first visit with her, she transformed my dark-rainbow-accidental-goth-mess-of-a -head-of-hair into a beautiful, uniform, and natural brown. After that she slowly added in more natural light brown highlights each visit, perfectly covering any grey hair and working towards getting rid of the darker tones from the henna. She is by far the best colorist I've come across and an exceptional, kind hearted human being as well!

I have got my hair colored by Giulia two times now and she does not disappoint. Her highlights are absolute perfection. I have never received so many compliments on my hair months after I got it done. She is efficient, polite and professional. She is just a wonderful person that does terrific work and always makes her clients feel special and important. I highly recommend booking with her.

Very impressed with Giulia Farella's work! She listened to my needs very attentively and made it happen exactly the way I wanted! We did highlights.
Very professional and also cares about not damaging the hair while coloring it! I am usually very protective about my hair and Gulia made sure that there won't be any damage.

Antonio trimmed my hair and did the styling - he is very professional, and was gentle with my hair. Very satisfied with the results! I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back!!

Salon has a great friendly atmosphere!

I do not normally write reviews but am so happy with my experience at Fabio that I felt obligated. I am a blonde and it took me so long to find the perfect colorist in NY that kept my hair healthy while also making it look natural! If you can relate GO TO Giulia Farella at Fabio Scalia. Not only is she the sweetest person but has transformed my hair to the perfect blonde! Could not recommend her more!

I was impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff. Although there was a problem with the color application, my problem was immediately and skillfully corrected by a helpful and understanding staff. And I love the color done by Rocco and the cut by Samantha. This was my first time at the salon and I now will be a regular customer.

There was poor customer service from the hair "professional" as they would call it. Guilia was very rude and wasn't professional.

Hi Veronica, We are a little disappointed that you decided to leave a poor review. Especially since no color service was performed. Giulia simply did not feel comfortable performing the service because it would have compromised the integrity of your daughter's hair. She had a perm in her hair and the strand test result showed that the outcome of the service wasn't going to be what you wanted. We take great pride in our client's satisfaction and wouldn't perform a service if we feel the service would damage the hair. I can only apologize if you felt Giulia came off as unprofessional. But as I understand, you were having a consultation with her over the phone. Sometimes trying to explain over the phone leads to miscommunication. Thank you for your feedback
