Best Experience I could have imagined. Borgwardt Funeral Home was empathic, accommodating, honest, & caring. They gave us such a welcoming experience, and made my father's funeral and viewing easy to manage. Their team was always in communication, and made sure I always felt supported. From travel across states-to ensuring my family got to be involved in the process, everything was a 10 out of 10. Thank you very much to Cathy, Diego, Jairo, & Donna. It was a pleasure to work with Borgwardt Funeral home. My grandmother recently passed and it was our first time experiencing the unexpected death of a close family member. Needless to say, it was an emotionally difficult thing to experience especially during a pandemic. We knew almost nothing about the funeral process but Diego provided the guidance and empathy every step of the way. We were so relieved to know that he was willing to genuinely help us and answer all the questions we had. On behalf of my family, we want to extend our thanks to Diego, Emmy, and other staff members who were involved for making sure everything was taken care of and for being extremely patient with us. I highly recommend!

Under the worst of circumstances for my family, my fathers unexpected death had us use their services. The staff and ownership were excellent and made the process we had to go through very easy. They take ownership of what has to be done, and provides the service in a very easy step by step decision process. I have known of their business for many years, as i am a native Beltsville resident, and know numerous families that have used their service, but this was the first time I used them. The entire staff is very respectful and caring. The funeral director I worked with (Diego), was so respectful and caring for me and my mother. He showed a passion for what he does, and prepared my fathers remains with great respect, and restored his remains to the way we remembered him at his best health. They went beyond what I had expected and took ownership to correct some issues I had with the Maryland Medical Examiners office. I will continue to recommend to all I know to use their services, when needed.

Losing my mother in November 2020 was not an easy thing. But I must say that Donna and her staff were AMAZING! Donna walked me thru this process and never cared about all the questions I had. She was the sweetest, most caring person. Everything was handled very quickly. Very nice and clean facility. Would definitely recommend using their services!!

It is very hard to navigate through thing when you loose a loved one in your family. The staff at Donald V. Borgwardt made things easier for me and my family to deal with throughout the funeral and cremation process for my Late father.

The experience with Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home was excellent. The staff made an uncomfortable situation bearable. They were very accommodating, understanding and affable with our situation.
