Deland Bakery began as a small cafe-bakery run by Don Pablo and his wife. One of his clients gave him a small mill that could be used to prepare the millet bread, and the result was met with so much enthusiasm that this marked the beginning of products he promoted and distributed to area health food stores.
Then don Pablo decided to sell the business to Alfredo Avila who embraced the challenges so much that he learned to make the recipes within two weeks!
