Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport

Very disengaged front desk employees. There were three and all were exceptionally condescending when answering my questions. Apparently, the SpotHero parking lot reservation location is wrong and you park at Kohls Parking Lot instead. Fortunately, the gentleman at the Kohls Parking Lot was friendly and helpful and got us set for our stay. Shuttles seemed to be a bit disorganized as well since there was an issue where we did not all fit in the van that came over on the half hour. Ultimately, it is a great deal for when you are parking and taking a flight from Dulles.

Did long term airport parking during a trip from Dulles. Always friendly and accommodating. Stayed overnight on the way home. Big room with comfy bed!

The heating unit is VERY loud. Lighting low in bathroom. I reserved a king bed but received a double Queen without being told.

We landed in Dulles international from a long flight from South Africa and stayed with our 4 kids. It's close to the airport and was great to rest/ recover from all the traveling. The world gate centre is across the street and lots of food places to choose from. The airport transfers were complimentary. The breakfast buffet was good - limited for us as there's no halaal options. The highlight was the reception staff - Tish, Farista and the Lady from the restaurant - Tima who took such wonderful care of our family. There is a gym and the restaurant Haulihans has the best "impossible burger." The work space downstairs was very comfortable as my husband needed to work online.

Perhaps a laundry service should be an option as I had to walk to the laundromat. Also, housekeeping doesn't clean well - they clean every 4 days and they never stick to the agreed time so that was a challenge.

Airport shuttle was timely, and driver was courteous. Check in was quick. The room was very clean.

Nice place, nice staff. Only 3 stars because it's in bad need of a remodel. The elevator looked like somebody threw milk all over the inside amd the electrical panel was open. Again, the hotel is nice just not awesome.

I have stayed at this Crowne Plaza several times and always had good experiences. This stay undid all the goodwill of the previous stays.

When I arrived at the hotel, I had not yet booked a reservation. I told the agent at the reception desk that I would be staying three nights and emphasized the check-out date. She proceeded to book me for only one night according to the form she asked me to initial for the rate and sign. I told her again that I would be staying for three nights. I asked if I should correct the form. She assured me that she would correct it in the computer.

The room she had initially assigned to me had a broken door lock system. I could easily open the room door without a key card, because the door latch was also broken. I immediately went down to the reception desk to get a new room.

The new room had a working door. However, I discovered in the middle of the night that the toilet tank did not refill about half the time. I resorted to filling the trash can with water from the bathtub and dumping it into the toilet bowl to flush the toilet.

The last thing was that the bill under my door mistakenly showed my last night at a rate that was 25% higher than the rate I had been quoted and agreed to. When I told the person at the reception, who appeared to be a manager, about the maintenance issues, she said, "Well, these things happen." When I objected to the rate increase, she said the rate was "variable." After I continued to object to the unannounced rate increase, she reversed it. She then said, very sarcastically, "There. Now are you happy?" The check-out service was incredibly rude.

I was also surprised that only one hotel staff member was wearing a face mask despite the recent surge of COVID-19 and spread of the Omicron variant. The manager said they were no longer required to wear face masks. Oddly, there were signs on the doors requesting guests to wear face masks in the hotel. Few did. IHG would be wise to require all staff to follow health protocols.

As an IHG Gold rewards member and a travel industry professional for 39 years, I can no longer recommend the Crowne Plaza-Dulles.

I can't believe that IHG allowed operated under their name.
That hotel need update and improve their service.

I have stayed here several times in the past, the bedsheets looked like they needed to be cleaned there was a little black specs on them not sure if it was animal spots droppings whatever. The lounge on the seventh floor was closed. If I remember right there used to be water supplied in the rooms there was no water. When I asked if I could get my room cleaned I was told that I needed to make arrangements beforehand and I was not told that when I checked in.
