About Aurora Dental Care

Dr. Del Jean Dedeker was born in Los Angeles where her parents were in medical and physical therapy school. She grew up in Wayzata, Minnesota with her two brothers. She enjoyed a childhood around horses and working toward the pursuit of mastering the piano which she devoted much of her time to in high school. She attended Union College in Lincoln Nebraska and after three years was accepted to Loma Linda School of Dentistry where, after her first two years, she was given the honor of the Highest Achievement in Science and was the first female student at Loma Linda to receive the prestigious award. She then transferred to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry to be closer to her husband who was in a medical residency in Minneapolis. Dr. Dedeker graduated there in 1986.

After practicing dentistry in Red Bluff, California for 7 years she and her husband moved to Wasilla in 1993. She joined Aurora Dental in 2005 and acquired ownership of the practice in 2010. She and her husband have 6 children - 3 boys and 3 girls.
