AMS Accountancy

I have used AMS Accountancy for many years and all their team members have consistently been very professional and customer focused. I especially value that they take time to explain, so even someone from outside the accountancy community can understand easily. They have never missed a deadline or service and I would certainly recommend them.

I've used AMS for 15 years and always found them to be helpful, experts in their field, and provide great service for a reasonable fee. I highly recommend them, Matt Chapman in particular is a real star!

Great efficient service preparing my company accounts and tax return. Toni Chandler, in particular, did a wonderful job preparing the a/cs in super quick time and with the minimum of fuss.

AMS have been my accountant for over 5 years, and helped me set up my business in the first place, arranging for all the filings. Over the years I've found their advice invaluable, helping me to understand complex financial situations and make clear decisions.

More importantly, they've saved me a lot of money on things I would've missed, like the various regular filings that go along with being a Ltd company. They've always been on top of upcoming filings, letting me know of requirements in plenty of time.

I've recommended them to several contractors who have subsequently used their services, and to sole traders who've used them for self-assessment returns - I've always heard good things back.

I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable, knowledgable accountancy service.

Initially a very good accountant and was recommended for smaller businesses but things have got very slow over the last two years. They are not a proactive accountant so don't ever expect to hear from them other than when they need to do your end of year books. They take forever to prepare your end of year and you have to chase them a lot. We have moved to a sole trader accountant now who is proactive and actually helps us save money. They are a nice team just not value for money from our experience.

Thank you for your review, Tom. It is true that the last year has been made difficult for us because of three long-term absences – and that has meant time pressure and us not being as proactive/in touch as we would want to be. These absences are coming to an end and – as I have mentioned to you - we are working on some of the things you complain about because we do want to provide a better service for our clients. Having said that, we always got your accounts and tax returns completed properly and filed in time – and I certainly do not believe we cost you money.

I have worked directly with AMS for 8 years after being recommended by a colleague in my consultancy network.
AMS are exceptionally reliable, professional and no question has been left unanswered with them. They are a font of knowledge on how best to run your businesses financial and tax affairs and they are more than willing to go at whatever pace you want to operate at.
A change in personal circumstances have meant that my time working with AMS is coming to a close, but they are definitely going to be my number one stop for any accountancy services I may require in the future.

Outstanding company - highly recommended!
