More About Washakie Medical Center

Welcome to Washakie Medical Center. Thank you for visiting our site to learn more about our programs, services and people who provide your care.

As a newcomer to the Bighorn Basin, I see demonstrations of the kindness and compassion people in this community show for one another every day. That holds true for our team of physicians and employees at Washakie Medical Center.

Washakie Medical Center offers excellent patient care that is conveniently located close to where you live. That care is provided by skilled and compassionate experts who are also trusted friends and neighbors.

I'm proud to say Washakie Medical Center is a part of Banner Health. That means much more than what meets the eye. Banner Health is a national leader in health care which allows member hospitals to share information on the latest innovations, evidence-based care and technology. Being a part of Banner Health means Washakie Medical Center uses a fully-integrated electronic medical record. Our staff members train with some of the best medical simulation equipment available. Our policies and procedures are based on extensive research. Being a part of Banner Health allows Washakie Medical Center to provide the highest level of patient care with the friendliness and compassion you expect from your small-town provider.

Washakie Medical Center has served the residents of the Big Horn Basin since 1949. We live our mission, "to make a difference in people's lives through excellent patient care" in everything we do. Practicing that philosophy is one reason we have been named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital two years in a row by the National Rural Health Association. I look forward to what the future holds for Washakie Medical Center and health services in the Bighorn Basin.

Sincerely,

Jay Stallings
Chief Executive Officer
