About Samson Images

Established in 2015.

After a lifetime of of taking photographs, I decided to pivot my career to my greatest passion - expressing myself though imagery while telling people's stories.As a teenager, back in the days of film, I built a makeshift darkroom in my parents' basement where I spent hours lost in my images and the pungent odors of the developer and stop baths. I miss those days, but I love the immediacy of digital.

I have held many positions with various titles in my career, but none ever seemed quite right. I felt like a nomad wandering from place to place, never comfortable, never happy. Photography was my first love and one I never got over. From my time working in the Los Angeles feature film scene to developing new and exciting ways for people to engage with Xbox at Microsoft, working in other visual media felt like a natural progression. But away from work, I was always photographing, always documenting.

The spark to jump back into photography came from photographing my absolute favorite subjects: my wife and our two incredible daughters.
