I am licensed counseling psychologist with over 22 year experience in helping individuals and families deal with the multitude of daily issues that create stress, anxiety, depression and suffering. Learning to develop strength from crises, finding success in failure and growth in spite of hopelessness is a major focus of my counseling process.
I have specialized training in a variety of therapeutic techniques including: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Imago Marital Therapy, Hypnotherapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming), Play Therapy and psychological evaluations for issues such as ADHD, school readiness, appropriateness for specific surgical procedures, and personality assessment.
I also uses state of the art therapeutic techniques to address pre-martial counseling, divorce recovery for adults and children, parenting techniques to address children and adolescent's behavioral/emotional problems such as coping with the special concerns of ADHD or adjustments to issues of daily life, strategies for enhancing performance in sports, school or work, mindfulness meditation, compassion training, and stress management.
