"He can give even a lawyer a bad name"

"I am a CDL holder. He knew I had a CDL when he took my money. He stated that he defended CDL holders. He took my money to defend an equipment violation. The fee was $75. The fine was $130. He made a deal for me to plea guilty and pay the full amount. I called his office to explain that I could have pled guilty by mail for the cost of a stamp. I was unable to speak with my attorney and she hung up on me. I will file a complaint with the bar. I suggest everyone do the same. The positive reviews on this page are obviously not real customers. This is the sort of activity making us lose faith in the legal system."

"This jerk DID NOT submit my payment to the court! I paid to retain him and then the actual court fee. I sent him the money order to the City of Dallas to pay for me and did he do it? No! Of course, I did not know this and for two years, the City of Dallas had a warrant out for my arrest for the very ticket that I paid this slacker to take care of. Please, just take care of the ticket yourself. You will be better off because you'll know it has been taken care of. Do not waste your time on this low life because if you're expecting this piece of garbage to help you, sooner or later you are going to find yourself in warrant status!"

"If you visit Jack Byno's website you will get specific information about what Mr. Jack Byno promises to do. The problem with his statements is the fact they could be no further from the truth. Let me briefly explain. I had received a traffic ticket in one of the Dallas metroplex cities. I had a court date set already way in advance since I had planned to fight my citation. I decided to go through the web and contact ticket attorneys to see who did what. Jack Byno's website looked convincing enough so I decided to give him a shot. Within 3 days of me paying the 75.00 to fight a speeding ticket, I received a letter from him saying I was to pay over 200.00 to the court and I had 5 days to do this. Now nothing might seem out of the ordinary on just the appearance of this letter, but my original court date wasn't for another 2 weeks. So I decided to go pay the district court a visit and inquire about the details of his supposed court appearance. The nice lady behind the counter at the municipal court was more than helpful and even gave me copies of letters that Jack Byno had sent to the court. I asked her if he showed up, and she looked at me and said, there was no appearance, he pleaded you out. I looked through the documents and couldn't believe my eyes. The very same day I had paid Jack Byno to go to court and fight for my ticket, was the same day he sent a form email to the court requesting that I get deferred adjudication. Save your money, don't use this a$$hat. They are just a paper mil"

"MUNICIPAL COURT EX-JUDGE: A Phony and a Hypocrite in robes. Posted on Sun, Jan. 12, 2003 Fort Worth Star Telegram: Haltom City Municipal Judge Jack Byno says he knows his political career is over Byno denies allegations by a former Haltom City jailer, now a registered sex offender, that he sentenced women to jail and released them, in part, because of their breast size. He also denies that he was part of a jailhouse culture that degraded women. But he acknowledged in an interview with me Friday that whatever troubles he now endures were brought on by his own arrogance and highhandedness early on after he was elected municipal judge in 1999. He understands, he said, that if he had not been so controversial during the past three years, he might now have more credibility to withstand the latest allegations against him and the demands for his resignation."Pride cometh before the fall," Byno told me. The significance of that remark -- from the judge known as "Maximum Jack" because of his heavy-handed sentencing practices-- should not go unnoticed. Byno is acknowledging his fall. The full biblical quote from Proverbs 16:18 actually is: "Pride comes before disaster, and arrogance before a fall." I believe those words -- pride, disaster, arrogance and fall -- aptly describe Byno's public service career. He finally seems to understand this. I visited his courtroom Friday to watch in action the jurist I have previously referred to in my column as "a phony" and "a hypocrite in robes." "
