Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin South

Great place to stay in south Austin. Nice rooms and easy access to the surrounding area.

Clean and comfortable room allowed me to relax after a long night of partying :)

The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed our stay, overall. We did have an issue our first night out of 6 with out air-conditioner in our room. We reported it the next morning and asked for maintenance, but it was on Sunday and we were told they were not sure if they could get them. We asked for them to call us to switch us to another room if they couldn't, they never called and maintenance never showed. Monday, we reported it again and asked why we didn't get a call, we were told they were waiting to hear from us!!! ? We asked to switch rooms and took a luggage cart to our room - but, wanted to check the new room out first. We didn't like the first new room and asked for another... when we returned to our original room, the luggage cart was gone! ? I went down stairs and complained and was told maintenance probably took it.... I said if they can enter the room and take the cart, why can't they fix the air so we don't have to move? Maintenance came back and worked on the air... it still wasn't what it should be, but was better and good enough to stay 3 more nights. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff were friendly. The only question I have is why no sausage patties or some sort of meat when sausage gravy and biscuits are served.. any other Holiday Inn I have stayed at has always had the sausage patties with the sausage gravy and biscuits... otherwise, breakfast was spot on!

The room appearance looks clean but the room is really smelly they need to do a better job washing/ changing the pillows more often.

Staff went out of their way to help us check in early for a wedding. Room was clean and very modern. Bathroom was great

The day of my arrival I got a call from a n employee accusing me of not being on military orders stating my rate was going to change without even contacting me prior just assuming that I was t on orders. Also they made me print and provide my military orders to prove my rate!

They were able to get me in early that morning instead of making me wait until the normal check in time very appreciative

Comfortable bed., clean bathroom. Appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities and also noticed housekeeping wiping down surfaces after use.

Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. Wished there was more selection in the hot breakfast. The scrambled egg got a bit boring after the 2nd day of the stay.
