Services Alpha Dental Offers

Complete Oral Exams

We will review your medical and dental history during your first visit. We will then examine your teeth and gums, do an oral cancer screening, take X-rays of your teeth as needed and complete a TMJ (temporomandibular or jaw joint) exam.

Emergency Exams

Are you experiencing dental pain? How fast can you get here? We strive to offer pain relief for patients as soon as possible.

Digital X-Rays

We use digital radiography which is better than film because it requires less radiation than traditional film and is much quicker.

Crowns

A crown or cap is a tooth-like covering placed over a carefully prepared pre-existing tooth. Usually these are recommended for teeth that have lots of decay, a large failing filling or a tooth that has had a root canal. There are several materials available and the finished look is very natural.

Bridges

A bridge replaces the missing teeth by using support from the adjacent teeth, and involves the reduction of those supporting teeth.

Tooth Colored Fillings

These restorations are more than just fillings; they conserve teeth, maintain their strength and often prevent the need for crowns. Tooth-colored restorations can help you enjoy a healthy, more natural smile.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment doesn't cause pain, it relieves it - and can save teeth that might otherwise need to be extracted. If the pulp tissue or nerve inside your tooth becomes inflamed or infected, you may need a root canal procedure. The most common cause is tooth decay, but other causes include trauma, multiple fillings, or a tooth needing a crown.

Implants

Dental implants are considered to be the strongest and most comfortable option for replacing missing teeth. Implants are small titanium posts that are strategically placed in the jaw to add strength to the jawbone and act as a replacement for a tooth's natural root. Once placed in the mouth, these titanium posts fuse with the remaining jaw bone to provide a durable anchor for synthetic teeth. One of the major advantages of placing a dental implant soon after an extraction, is to prevent bone resorption from occurring to your jaw. Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth or to support a denture. Dental Implants are often the most effective way to restore the appearance and function of the mouth when a tooth or teeth are missing.

Intra-Oral Cameras

We utilize an intra-oral camera so you can see your teeth close up. The images taken are used to help you better understand your proposed treatment.

Extractions

A tooth with a hopeless prognosis cannot be saved and it will need to be extracted. There are several options to replace missing teeth including implants, bridges, partial or complete dentures.

Bone Grafts

In many cases, long term tooth loss will created bone loss that makes dentures or implants unsuccessful. Loss of teeth and surrounding bone increases the stress on adjacent teeth creating mobile or fractured teeth and additional tooth loss. This in turn, can lead to undesirable cosmetic consequences. In addition to the effects of tooth loss and time, infections, trauma, or tumors can also destroy significant portions of the facial bones. Fortunately, many grafting techniques and modern materials are now available which allow us to replace the bone that has been lost. A bone graft is the addition of bone to your jaw - this is typically done when there is inadequate bone present and an implant placement is needed.

Sinus Lifts

A sinus lifts is a specialized type of bone graft. When a patient has a small jaw, or a large sinus, or a combination of the two resulting in little room for implant insertion, a sinus lift may be needed.

Dentures

We offer partial and full dentures. Partial dentures use the remaining healthy teeth as support. They need to be taken out and cleaned. Full dentures are used when there are no teeth in the arch. It is best to have implants placed so that the full denture has retention and will not move around.

Soft Tissue Management

Gum disease can easily be prevented with proper home and professional care. When you come in you may require a traditional cleaning if your gums are healthy. If you have gum disease present you may require a deeper cleaning. When gum disease is caught early, treatment is simple and highly effective.

Conscious Sedation

For the patient who is highly nervous about dental work we offer conscious sedation. This enables the patient to achieve a completely relaxed and stress-free appointment, regardless of the treatment. The patient is medicated orally and remains conscious during their time with us. Often, the patient is unable to remember their appointment. This is a perfect option for those who experience dental anxiety.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Porcelain veneers can reshape teeth, close spaces, correct poor alignment and permanently whiten your teeth. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that when bonded to your teeth are strong, beautiful and natural looking. Composite resin bonding can be completed in a single appointment and are very conservative as there is no tooth reduction required. However, they may need to be replaced after three to six years as they tend to discolor and age over time.
