The worst. Rooms have not been cleaned well. If you want daily cleaning you pay extra or only cleaning is done every 3 days. In addition to the "all inclusive" rate for your room, you are charged an additional $25.00 per day for the amenities, even if you don't use them. Minimum coffee in room and the creamers were old and spoiled. No night manager on duty and staff was unresponsive to several guests. All the outside beach chairs, cabanas, loungers cost extra blue Cabana's Re $150.00 a day. You are better off renting a beach condominium or less expensive hotel and walking to beach as most of the beaches are public. Marriott is awful.

Went for a half day at the spa. I entered a broken down human, and came out refreshed and relaxed. Thank you. Personally, I love the off season. It makes the much needed relaxation all the better.

We checked into room 716 for our 10th anniversary getaway. The first time in Hilton Head Island and the room had an awesome view of the ocean but then later that evening found the room was infested with small roaches. We called The front desk and the clerk asked if we wanted them to come and spray. Really??? She then asked if we wanted to change rooms. We were so disgusted that she acted like it was a normal thing that the room had roaches and was not apologetic at all that our first experience at their hotel was that we were greeted with roaches so we decided to leave. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. They need to invest in a complete renovation.

I've stayed at other Marriott Resorts at comparable prices & this hotel simply fell below the standard. WAY below. To begin, the main lobby smelled of bleach every time we walked in from outside. While I appreciated the idea that it was sanitized, a deodorizer would have made the entrance much more welcoming. Also, the furniture & fixtures in the lobby was run down. Major scratches on the wooden (not sure it was even real wood honestly) & rust was readily visible. The paint was peeling & the outside of the elevators & vents looked like they had been rusting since 1988. Definitely not what I expected for what was paid. The elevators moved pretty fast so that was good. Stepping out of the elevators on our room floor was like stepping out of a time machine. Im guessing we went back to 1989… We we're on the 9th floor. The carpet was terrible & the hallway gave a musty aroma. Much like the main lobby, the walls looked like they hadn't been painted in at least 20 years & the rust on the vents were readily apparent. It was so disappointing. It got worse though. Walking into the room was the most anticlimactic experience I had ever had in a hotel. Rusted vents, old carpet, furniture from the early 90's & a bathroom that was barely clean. It wasn't disgustingly nasty but it was far from pristine. Clearly, dated. The tile was cheap, you basically had to step into the shower to turn the water on (worst configuration ever) and there was scum buildup around the door stopper. NEVER AGAIN!

This is my second time staying here. I received my comp upgrade to ocean view with a balcony. The kids had a blast with the indoor pool. Every evening they play a movie for the kids on a huge screen. The weather was beautiful on Thanksgiving the kids were able to play on the beach. This is the season to go to catch the best rates. Otherwise it's high. It's a lovely resort. 2 outdoor pools huge deck and outside bar.
