The focus of our martial arts school is on physical fitness, character development and self defense -- rather than fighting. Our overarching goal is in building our student's self-esteem.
For children, our emphasis is on character development and physical fitness.
With adults, our goal is to deliver all of the benefits of martial arts, including improved muscle tone, increased cardiovascular fitness, lower stress levels, increased energy, and greater flexibility.
Self-defense is also emphasized but it's always tempered with the training on how to seek alternatives to conflict.
Each of our martial arts instructors is committed to teaching the physical skills while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.

Add ReviewOwnership is unethical and belongs in Rhode Island. They kept trying to take our money when I had to relocate - until our bank figured out what was going on and stopped the debits. Contracts mean nothing to Mastery; you'll have to take them to court for justice. And, the owner banks on the fact you won't want to pay for legal representation after already losing money to the school. Drive by any of the Mastery Schools or you'll be sorry.Report

: Mastery is expensive, but not because they are the best. Are there any other martial arts schools in the world who will stand by that? They are not actually good at martial arts in any way. They teach respect and discipline, just like the boy scouts do. For a martial arts school, though, they do not teach REAL martial arts. Most martial arts schools, even expensive ones, will give you some bang for you buck. Mastery, however, charges exorbitant fees so they can APPEAR to be the best. They are good for exercise and motivation. I compare them to a gym, if the gym had Anthony Robbins on the stereo. Go to Mastery if you want to buy (not earn) a black belt. Be warned though: the price is steepReport

This place is full of gimmicks and ways to take your money. People are promoted on their abilty to pay, not their actual ability. Some of the evening classes have almost 50 people in a very small space. There are far more reputable places out there. Do your research and stay away from mastery martial arts. Do not sign a contract!Report
