About

The Genealogical Forum of Oregon, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1946. The objectives of the Forum are to instruct in research, to create an interest in genealogy, and to share, compile and publish genealogical and historical materials.

The Forum is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. Everything is done by volunteers. Our members enjoy the use of our library, classes, and interest groups to research their genealogy.

Products And Services

The Genealogical Forum of Oregon invites you to research in our library for free the first Monday of each month. We have one of the largest independent genealogy libraries on the West Coast. In addition to our Oregon collection, we have regional, national, and world-wide resources. Research assistants can give you a tour, answer questions, and assist with your research. Non-members pay a visitor-fee except the first Monday of the month.
