About

Azariah’s Olde Storehouse, located at 28 West Main Street in Yanceyville’s Historic District, was built in 1817 by a local lawyer and businessman. This is the oldest commercial building in Yanceyville and is believed to be the oldest building being used commercially in Caswell County.

The current owners, Charlie and Cristina Ward of Yanceyville, purchased the building in October 2008, and began an extensive six month renovation that resulted in the formation of a new corporation – Azariah’s Olde Storehouse. Ltd – featuring an old fashioned Country Store and Restaurant. Local support has been encouraging since we opened in May of 2009.

Come join us for Lunch or Dinner and you too will enjoy what the Olde Storehouse is becoming known for – “A great place to spend some time with friends”.

"Quite Lovely"

"I saw an interview on "Tar Heel Traveler" about the couple who renovated this old building in Yanceyville. We said "Yanceyville? Where's that?". Took a drive this past Saturday afternoon and had a fantastic dinner at Azariah's. Charlie is a riot - he kept us happy, fed us well, and made us laugh at his stories. When he mentioned they get more support from outside th area-I was shocked. This place is a gem - a shining gem in a downtown that still needs folks like the Ward's to come in, renovate and open a business that employ's locals and serves a GREAT dinner. I had the ribeye - best I ever ate, and my wife had the Salmon with dill - and it was fantastic! We ordered a Shrimp 'n' Grits to take home with us and it was out of this world! What a bargain! What a great building! If you do not support Azariah's your as nutty as a fruitcake - not every town is so lucky to have people with courage to open a new business these days. Embrace Azariah's! They deserve your support and respect. We'll be back next Saturday night - "Table for 2, Charlie, next to the window!"."

"Someone said :that place is upscale" - no it's not - it's a great homey atmosphere with great food. Prices, food, ervice and atmosphere are better than the Steak place -- steaks are better at Azariah's too! I can't believe this place is not more popular - peopel are nuts going to the other place."

"Traveling thru town we noticed the building, and stopped in for lunch this past Friday...they had a new Philly Steak sub called "The Ruffalo" on the menu - oh baby - I ordered an extra one to take on the road with me....next time I will stop in for dinner - nice place and owners and great food!"

"We liked going here when it was Brown's - but we must admit this building has never looked so good - both inside and out...and a "102" sanitation score! Very nice job. The Ward's deserve all kinds of credit for what they have done to begin bringing downtown Yanceyville back to life. And the food? Wow! I had the Salmon with Dill - and it was excellant - my Husband had the SIzzlin Ribeye - and I got a taste of it - and that was excelant as well. I never saw him so quiet while he ate the steak. (quiet means he loved it) --- Charlie & Cristina, you are wonderful for the town, thank you for investing in Yanceyville. I hope to see more locals embrace the two of you and support Azariah's - We will be back!"

"Delicous mozzerella & cheese appetizer - followed by a sizzlin rib-eye, baked potato, garlic toast, and whatever that sauce is on the steak! Topped it off with a brownie sundae....excellant!"

"Wow! Last night Azariah's was hopping with customers - lots of enthusiasm - the place was alive - great vibes for an old building. The owners were very friendly - welcomed us and made sure we enjoyed our meal without hovering over us. Great job! Check out the SIZZLIN STEAKS! Man-o-man they are good. I told them about the Bronx Boy Bagel place closing in Danville - suggested they buy the building and relocate there! Check Azariah's out - it's worth the trip!"

"Azariah's started a new item at dinner service called "Azariah's Sizzlin Steak" - and we were not in the mood for steak, but a table next to us had 6 sizzling (and I mean SIZZLING) steaks brought to their table - and they were right - the sound and the smeel got us to order steak - best I have had in a long time around here. Get to Azariah's and order the sizzling steak....Wow!"

"We went tonight on the same night as the Ronnie Milsap concert and it was obvious they were understaffed from the get-go. The food was good but the service needs attention - I spoke with the owner on my way out and mentioned there were some issues - he agreed and actually was receptive to my comments. Based on that alone we'll give them another try in a few weeks. Nice atmosphere for sure. Just needed one more waitress."

"My wife and I stopped in for dinner - and it was very pleasant. Nice music playing, very tastefule remodel done - the antique dining room is gorgeous - you must see the mirror that they have! We started with mozzerella & tomatoes drizzled in balasamic vinager - it was excellant. Followed by fresh cod served with crabmeat and shrimp - very very nice surpise here in Yanceyville. We'll be back!"

"Nice! We had lunch - Slamon BLT and my husband had the Cuban. Both were the best we ever had and reasonably priced - quite a surprise "find" while lost in Yanceyville. Weplan on going back for dinner soon. Great job!"

"What a find! In Yanceyville, no less. The atmosphere is nice, the restoration is done well, and the food is fantastic. A top notch eatery in Caswell County with reasonable prices. The owners are a cute couple who have obviously put their heart and soul (and probably savings) into Azariah's - and it is worth the trip. Head right to Azariah's and skip the other restaurants in town - they pale in comparison. Great job!"
