About Johnny L. McKinnon, Jr., DDS, PA

Dr. McKinnon grew up in Mount Gilead. He graduated from West Montgomery High School in 1982 and from the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry in 1991. Dr. McKinnon had the opportunity to "come home" and began his private practice in Mount Gilead in 1991 also.

Community activities are very important to him. He served on the Montgomery County Board of Health for four years. Also, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees at Montgomery Community College since 1993. Dr. McKinnon is a member of the Mount Gilead Civitan Club and attends Zion United Methodist in Mount Gilead. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking in the nearby Uwharrie National Forest with Moose, who is a black lab/german shepherd mix. He also enjoys watching the children that are our dental patients play in various sports activities in Mount Gilead.
