Nothing agreed upon while signing the lease has ever been upheld. The apartment was not cleaned when we moved in, 3 months after our lease started. The amount of mold and rusted scrap metal in the basement would be sufficient to give tetanus and cancer to all of china. The electrical problems within the house prevent the use microwave and the toaster at the same time, also the city has informed us that the house is a fire hazard. Being aware of these facts the company took 4 weeks to replace the smoke detectors which the fire station disengaged when the security system, campus habitat installed, malfunctioned. We were never given the codes to disengage this malfunctioning security system, nor do any of the emergency contact numbers for the company ever work. Our TV has never worked, something which came with the apartment. The heater took 5 days to fix. They are aware of all of these problems, still they get around to it whenever they see fit. When they see fit never quite matches up with our idea of a landlord's duties. Finally to top things off campus habitat is now demanding that households pay in full, they have houses with up to 8 residents, we are all college students, they only rent to college students and yet they somehow think it is possible for a household to pool all the rent as one when they do not take checks or cash. Campus habitat is the way to go if you get off on stress and confrontation, because that is exactly what you will be dealing with.
