Eye Care Northwest, the ophthalmology practice of Jeffrey Liegner, MD originated Go Dropless cataract surgery, LASIK laser vision correction, eyelid surgery and laser skin treatments, and comprehensive treatment of all eye diseases. Our new office at 1 Wilson Drive in Sparta provides a warm, inviting atmosphere for on-site LASIK, cosmetic treatments and eye surgery consulations. Dr. Liegner is Board certified in ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons (ISRS). He is a Clinical Instructor of ophthalmology residents and medical students at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, and volunteers at the Veteran's Administration (VA) Hospital in East Orange. Dr. Liegner is the Medical Director of the Northwest Jersey Ambulatory Surgery Center (NWJASC). After 26 years of service in the Air Force as a reservist, flight surgeon and physicist, Dr. Liegner holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (retired).
