My name is Rick Collup and I am the owner/head instructor at the Reno Academy of Combat. I have lived in the Reno area all my life and have been training in self defense since I was 7 years old. I have taken almost every Martial Art there is throughout the years and have several black belts and instructor belts. I was fighting in full contact events before they were even popular.


I have held belts in the Gladiator Challenge for the Super fight belt, and was undefeated in the Tournament of Champions bare knuckle fights. I have fought the worlds toughest fighters including Dan Severn, Cal Worsham, Jason Lambert, Jimmy Ambriz, Bo Cantrell and have trained with Randy Couture, Chuck Lidell, Royce Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Royler Gracie, Frank Shamrock, Quinton Jackson, Justin Ellison, Kit Cope and several others. I am not naming these people and experiences to brag although I am very proud of myself for stepping up and putting my name and reputation on the line.
