Originally completed in 1926 as the U.S. headquarters for the Shell Oil Company, the Shell Building still holds court elegantly at the intersection of Locust and 13th Street. One of St Louis' original “modern†office buildings, this Grand Dame is still known by her admirers today as Shell Corner.
