"Mike Lacks Integrity"

"WARNING*WARNING*WARNING UNPROFFESIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST; DO NOT EVER CONSIDER USING MIKE HINCK FOR YOUR ROOFING NEEDS MORE HEADACHE THEN WHAT IT’S WORTH – MIKE LACKS INTEGRITY. Where do I start? I received a quote to replace the shingles and plywood on my roof in October of 2017 and Mike and his crew started the work in November. My roof is average in size and should not take no more than a week if that. But for some reason the job he did for me lasted well over a month and was not completed until early December. This took well over a month and probably because, Mike the owner was never onsite and if he was it was for minutes. The people he hired did not know what they were doing and were sitting around smoking and hanging out most days as this was confirmed by my neighbors. Mike would have his people come and work on the roof for one day and then not return for another 2 days. So, in actuality, Mike’s unskilled workers worked 2-3 days a week (if that). I work a normal 9-5 and was not able to be around when the roof was being worked on, but I wished I had been to ask question. These guys (different ones every time) would frequently relieve themselves on my yard often times in front of my neighbors (I was not aware until of this until the job was done). The work itself was very poor and the nails and shingle trimmings weren’t even removed from the roof or gutter. I found all this out because the gutter was clogged and I went on the roof to investigate. There were nails still left on the rooftop and in the gutter; I even found several utility knives in there. The shingles that was laid down was not strait and very crooked. At the very tip where each side of the roof meets, there are at least 4 shingle lines that comes together as one. By all means, I am not a roofer, but even I know that the shingles should go across evenly. And it was evident that they used tons of nails and that is because you can see them. Aren’t nails supposed to be hidden? "
