Swat Took two days to do a job that we were quoted a half a day to complete. The company drilled multiple 4 1/2 inch diameter holes in our ceiling in our garage because they cannot measure. The installer decided he was in over his head and opted to leave early. The installer promised me I would get a discount or an upgraded radon fan. The next day a different technician arrived and spent another six hours. When the second tech was ready to leave I asked if he was going to fix the holes in my ceiling. He called his boss. His boss told him to go to Home Depot and they did a shoddy repair job. They have not come out to complete the work. We were promised a discount and we never received it. They are not coming out to fix it.

We bought a house in the Philadelphia suburbs and had the home tested for radon during the initial inspection. The levels came back around 14 pci (acceptable is less than 4.0 pci), so the owners agreed to remediate it. This company was used and we were told that their work was guaranteed to take care of the radon. We assumed that this meant we wouldn't have to pay for anything, since remediation was part of the deal with the house. The follow up tests after we moved in showed that levels were still too high, so the company asked us to do 3 additional follow-up tests (!) to prove that the levels really were too high. Did this, and now they're saying that too small a fan was installed the first time, and that we'll have to pay (around $200) to have a more powerful fan installed. When I said what about the warranty, they said that it didn't cover additional equipment if the soil or building conditions prevented the unit from being able to vent out the radon. I said, "then what's the point of the warranty?" They haven't given me a straight answer to that question yet. Don't say that "results are guaranteed" unless you mean it! I guess "guaranteed" means, as long as I'm willing to pay for it! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I had them do a system on my house, he showed up with super thin schedule 30 pvc when schedule 40 is recommended. I also noticed no primer was used on any of the pvc glue connections. Charged $180 extra just to run through the roof instead of around the roof even though we had a previous quote. Haven't got our radon test back yet to see if the system is effective.
