More About Play & Say, LLC

Play & Say provides pediatric speech therapy services in Hammond, LA and surrounding areas. We work with private clients and clients through the Louisiana Early Steps Program. Services are held in our Hammond office, in your home, or in your child's daycare/school. We offer consultations, screenings, evaluations, and on-going therapy. Our clinicians work with clients with a variety of communication disorders that affect speech sound production, language skills, social skills, voice, fluency, cognitive aspects of communication, literacy, etc.

We adhere to the philosophies of individualized treatment and natural therapy approaches. With input from parents and caregivers, our clinicians create and implement treatment plans that are designed with your child's unique needs in mind. We offer a natural treatment approach that utilizes play-based activities, routine-based activities, natural environments, and natural communication partners. We believe that speech therapy should be fun, flexible, and family-oriented. Our ultimate goal is for your child to gain functional skills that will improve his/her communicative effectiveness in the home, at school, and with peers.

Play & Say is owned by Holly C. Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP. Holly is a fully licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist with 8 years of clinical experience. Holly has experience in early intervention, the public school setting, and teaching and supervising in a university clinic.
