"Camp for my Australian Shepherd is the best thing that has happened for him and our family. Journey has made tons of friends and all I have to do is say "camp" and he is ready to get in the car. He has developed social skills and has been very loving to our new puppy. Our family has made friends with the staff as they are friendly and care about all aspects of our dogs health and life. Thank you so much for your camp for dogs. Compared to other day care for dogs camp canine is the best in the quad cities."

"Animal Family contagious disease policy"
by Animal Family Staff

"Animal Family Veterinary Care Center’s greatest priority is to provide consistent, high quality care for our clients’ pets in our clinic, boarding facilities and camp. Our aim is to treat each pet like it is our own. Unfortunately, pets are subject to communicable illnesses. Like other members of the family at work, school, daycare and other public places, pets can be exposed to infections whenever they are out in the community. Animal Family clients are informed of the risks of exposure when they bring their pets to stay for boarding or camp. Preventing illness outbreaks in Animal Family’s facilities is a day-in and day-out effort by our entire staff. We adhere to a comprehensive, multiple-step care protocol including intensive hygiene practices, policies that keep sick pets home and a vigilant treatment plan when an animal is exposed to illnesses. We also undergo exhaustive pathogen testing procedures to determine the causes of certain communicable illnesses. In addition, we go to great lengths to inform our clients of outbreak situations and policies to protect each pet. If you have questions about your pet’s risk of exposure to communicable diseases in the clinic or community, or would like to discuss any other matters of your pet’s well-being, please don’t hesitate to contact us. "This clinic recently had an outbreak of Bordatella in their kennels and camp. Instead of doing the right thing and informing the clients that regularly use these services, they kept it to themselves and continued to allow uninfected animals in to use these services which in turn got them sick. I then had to pay this same clinic for a visit and meds to get my dog well again! They should have let people know there was an issue instead of worrying about the money they get from kenneling and camp. I've seen something in some of their reviews saying "the health of the pet is their number one concern". How is this in the best interest of the pet!!!!"

"Petside Manners"
by Karla Ehrler

"As for myself, I will only go to a doctor who has good "bedside manners". During my first pet visit to Animal Family Veterinary Care Center 6 years ago, I immediately picked up on their wonderful "Petside Manners" and so did my pets! As with my own health plan, I realize I have to be responsible in helping my doctors. I need to be as informative to them as I can be. The same with my vets. At AFVCC, they give me their expert advice plus tell me where to find the best follow-up information on either a website or a book. This helps me to be more knowledgeable at observing what they need to know. I become my pet's voice. I feel they realize at AFVCC, the more they teach me what to look for, the better off my pet's life will be. They help me be an informed and confident pet companion. So the Big ? - Would I recommend them? I do all the time! My pets are my "children" and I only want what is best for them and for me. AFVCC does all of that! Karla Ehrler and "kids""

"Two paws up for Animal Family!"

"Two paws up for Animal Family! My dogs have been going to Animal Family for 8 years and they are happy and healthy :) When they've been sick or hurt we've gotten right in, and Dr. Rob (four paws up--we are jumping up and down for him) makes sure we understand all the treatment options and the advantages and disadvantages of each option. Plus I always feel like he really cares about my "babies" and he will go out of his way to make sure they are OK. The regular check-ups are thorough, and I never worry they are missing something. The staff is always happy to see us, and the place is super clean. Dr. Kathy was also wonderful when my son's frog was sick. Animal Family is definitely the place to go if you want the best for your pets!!!"

"Dr. Kathy at Animal Family is fantastic!"

"Dr. Kathy is a rare animal-care provider who understands the health-care needs of bunnies. She even has consulted with other vets when our bunnies developed unusual symptoms so that they received the best of care from a team. Throughout the years, she has not only saved the lives of our beloved companion rabbits, but also has ensured that they live long, happy, lives. Finding a rabbit-savvy vet is not easy. We are fortunate to have Dr. Kathy to help those of us with bunny companions, and we can’t thank her enough! "
