Standard Preparation - Interiors
Move furniture and items away from surfaces to be painted
Tarp and plastic off furnishings, floors and all other non-painted areas
Remove and reset outlet plates, blinds, drapes and fixtures
Tape off all woodwork not to be painted
Repair walls and ceilings where necessary including nicks, cracks, holes, nail pops and
stress cracks
Skim coat walls where damaged
Caulk all woodwork
Spot-prime over marks, stencils, water/smoke damage, graphics, stains and patched and sanded sections
Lightly sand all surfaces prior to and in-between coats of painting
Putty all woodwork
All painted surfaces to be made free of dust
Clean up job site daily, remove all debris and store all equipment properly

Standard Preparation- Exteriors

Powerwash areas to be painted free of dirt and bleach all mildew
Tarp and plastic off landscaping, roofs, decks, flooring and all other non-painted areas
Remove and reset downspouts
Remove and reset shutters
Wire-brush all loose and flaking stain
Scrape and sand all loose and peeling paint
Caulk all joints and gaps and around door and window frames
Re-nail all loose trim and boards
