Thanks to all of you! In 2018 Dr Suchy did rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder, followed up with weeks of physical therapy with Alex in the P.T. department which was hard work but enjoyed going. I was receiving short term disability through my union which created a mountain of paper work for Dr. Suchy and the office staff which was always there for me with not one complaint. Thanks to all of you!Report
Everyone was great. Everyone was great. This was my first surgery and everyone made me feel very comfortable and confident that the procedure would be a success, which it was.Report
Always appreciate the professionalism Always appreciate the professionalism, thoroughness and patience demonstrated by Dr. Patari and staff.Report
I cannot say enough positive things about this practice. I've lived primarily in Europe for the last 20+ years and I've come accustomed to physicians who treat you as a human and not a number or a code. Coming back to the USA, I've had a very difficult time finding a practice and feeling comfortable with the level of care they can provide. It seems very "cookie cutter" at most practices. WELL NOT at THE CENTER FOR SPORTS ORTHOPAEDICS. From the moment I walked in I was treated as a human being with an issue that they were sincerely interested in providing care for. I was given time by all to express my concerns about my injury and THEY TOOK THE TIME to really listen to me. I highly recommend this practice.Report
Very unprofessional, no follow upReport

I am so greatful to Dr. Komnick and the whole staff I am so greatful to Dr. Komnick and the whole staff. I had never broken any bones or had surgery before ( or at least not for many, many years! ) I had never been through this whole process before, but your team made all the difference! Kind, empathetic and knowledgeable! I especially appreciate Dr. Komnick and his expertise - knew I was in great hands all along which made all the difference.Report

It is true that sometimes you have to wait along time in waiting room to see Dr. Patari past your appointment time. However I was dealing with wrist pain for 3 years (tear in TFCC, missing cartilage, bone spur and arthritis)Report
I had gone to doctors at Barrington ortho , Core orthopedic and others besides Rush and Northwestern Hospitals. None of them could help me or have any answers besides giving me cortisone injections that did not help. They didn't seem to care that I could not use my wrist/ hand/arm without terrible pain and weakness.
I would have to quit my job that required me to use my hands. Dr. Patari was the only one that gave me hope and did surgery when I was expecting he would be like the rest and just want to give me a cortisone injection. No one mentioned any kind of surgery that he performed. I now have no pain and can fully use my wrist/ hand/ arm. I think of him and thank him everytime I can use my wrist as I could not before.
The board certified doctors at The Center For Sports Orthopaedics offer expert diagnosis for any injury or disease of the bones and joints, from simple fractures to complex surgical procedures.
We have perform hundreds of surgeries for hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, wrist and finger joint surgical procedures every year for severe osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, sports trauma and non-sports injuries and many other orthopaedic conditions.
Our team of doctors always look to non-invasive techniques first, such as physical therapy and occupational therapy to alleviate pain and underlying issues before considering any surgical procedure.
Our goal is to help get our patient to resume their "normal life" activity as soon as possible.
