The Lock Up Self Storage

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. After a year of good service, my rental rate increased 50%! I get it, everyone is dealing with inflation, but this is gauging. Worse still, we had no notice of the price increase. Have already made arrangements to move out.

Lock Up is a great storage facility! First and foremost, Ryan is awesome! His attention to detail about every aspect of our rental experience is superb: he walked us through details of the paperwork, he pointed out pluses and minuses of the available units, provided us with a great move-in deal promotion, and helped us with truck rental. The location is very convenient to central Chicago. In addition, the facility is well lit, climate controlled, and very clean. I was amazed at how clean and fresh the bathroom smelled! Added bonuses like being able to pull your car into the garage and closing the door behind us are a great feature for when we are loading/unloading in cold weather. Just can't say enough good things about how Ryan operates this location!

Very nice facility. New, clean, easy access. Ryan at the front desk is incredibly helpful. He makes the whole experience even better.

This facility is new and clean. The setup with loading docks and after hours access is pretty convenient. The office staff was very friendly and helpful getting the agreement set up.

I am extremely satisfied with both the storage facility and the customer service provided to me. I used this facility for approximately one and a half year.
The physical space was exceptionally clean and well lit.
Ryan Marshall (Property Manager) was extremely courteous and helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending this facility to others.

Everything here is fantastic. It's safe, clean, and easy to access and communicate. That said, the major issue is pricing. Shortly after moving in, the rent was increased. And then inceased again. These are not small increases, either: this month my rent went up a whopping 25%. On the other hand, I was able to speak to them, and they reduced the rate increase down to a more reasonable 10%. In sum, the service is great, but you'll want to keep a close eye on price increases.

Great space, clean, easy to access. Ryan was beyond service and help at all times.
My only complain would be that, when I reserved the unit online, it showed me a cube 7.5 x 10, and I thought that would be the unit physically… what I got was a space that had what looked like to be a wall/column (belonging of the building structure) taking part of the unit, so I have to ask for a new one which resulted in a similar unit but with much smaller column/wall. The price is fine but should be adjusted based on the actual space that you're going to get to use.

This location was excellent and helped our move go by smoothly. The staff was always around to answer questions and help out. The facility is really well maintained and clean with easy access and our moving trucks were able to get in and out easily. Would definitely use them again and refer to friends.
