I am a clinical social worker who has 23 years of experience in a wide variety of clinical settings. I have been certified as a private practitioner since 1987. I believe in having a warm, friendly, and open approach to well-being. I have extensive experience with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. I have over a decade of experience with special education and special needs children, particularly children, (and their families) on the Autism spectrum. Recently I gave a presentation to a grandparents' support group through Autism Speaks on effective communication. I am certified as both a school social worker and a principal. Another area of extensive experience is with the caregivers of both older adults and children with disabilities. I have led several caregiver support groups as well as met individually and/or with family members to provide support and education. I currently have a private practice in Arlington Heights, and am available to provide services in-office, in the home and/or in school settings, as needed. I participate in several insurance panels.
