Jon George, CPA, founder and principal, studied accounting at Kennesaw State University graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors and a GPA of 3.89. Upon graduation he began his career public accounting career focusing on the real estate industry with CohnReznick, the 11th largest firm in the country. After gaining some public accounting experience in real estate audits, he left to go to work for Smith and Howard, the 16th largest firm in Atlanta, to gain audit experience in different industries and to gain experience in their tax practice as well. After moving into a supervisory role with Smith and Howard, Jon was recruited by Deloitte as an audit senior, the #1 firm in Atlanta and the largest in the world. Jon served four years at Deloitte in their real estate audit practice rising up to the level of manager candidate while winning several performance awards during that time. Jon left Deloitte to pursue a career in industry (internal accounting) and took a job at Hines Interests where he managed the accounting for the Atlanta Financial Center, a 910,269 square foot, three tower class A commercial real estate building known as the "gateway to the financial district of Atlanta". After some time in industry with The Atlanta Financial Center, Jon decided that it was the "client service" aspect of his work career that he excelled at and enjoyed the most. As a result, he launched George & Associates in 2007. Since then the practice has grown exponentially by word of mouth.
