I put in my own perm while in the sixth grade. Remember Ultra sheen products advertised on Soul Train? I started this practice in my mother’s kitchen like many others did, back in 1979. When I became a student in Albany Area Vocational Tech, I had acquired a clientele which followed me through school and into the salon in 1980. Many were with me until I left Albany Georgia and relocated here in 2003. Having worked in only one salon until I was blessed to open Acts of Valor Salon in 2009, do the math! Yes this is the 32nd year I have done this one thing! I love it, I am called to it, and anointed for it…..this is my destiny.
