Since receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, summa cum laude, Dr. Huntsman has been involved in furthering his education and in so has been awarded the highest “Advanced Proficiency Rating†in the highly researched method of chiropractic care known as Activator Methods. It is a great honor to be one of only two doctors in the Augusta area to be able to provide this level of a prestigious, scientific system of chiropractic care.
At Georgia Clinic of Chiropractic patients can experience a full range of technology not commonly found in a typical chiropractic office. A full x-ray suite of digital radiography and digital thermography are just part of what sets this clinic apart.
Apart from traditional chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Huntsman also uses the highly researched method of chiropractic care known as Activator Methods. Through many classes and seminars, Dr. Huntsman has obtained the highest level of being an Advanced Proficiency Rated Activator Doctor. In order to obtain this, he had to pass multiple practical and written tests and keeps it up to date by regularly attending continuing education courses—keeping abreast of the latest research and techniques in order to provide the best possible care to patients. “What makes Activator care different from traditional chiropractic adjustments is that it utilizes a small hand held instrument that is used to realign the bones instead of the doctor's hands pushing on the patient,†said Dr. Huntsman. What makes Activator care so accurate are the neurological and orthopedic tests utilized to be able to find exactly what areas of the body need treatment. “It is also more comfortable on the patient because it doesn't require the patient to get in awkward positions. There is no twisting or turning of the body,†adds Dr. Huntsman. Because of the speed of the instrument, it is painless and doesn't cause the popping or cracking noises that are sometimes associated with chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Huntsman says many of his patients really like this because some people do not feel comfortable hearing audible noises coming from their joints.
