September 2, 2009 - Pensacola Fl - Ballinger Publishing is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract to publish the newspaper GOSPORT for Naval Air Station Pensacola beginning October 9, 2009.
Established in 1921, GOSPORT is one of the most recognized and longest-serving military installation newspapers in the history of the United States Armed Forces. Published on a weekly basis it is distributed free of charge to over 200 locations, including NAS Pensacola, Correy Station and Saufley Field.
“We are very proud to have been selected by NAS to produce this newspaper,” publisher Malcolm Ballinger said. “We have always had a very close relationship with the local military and know how important the military is to our local economy. We look forward to working with NAS to produce the same quality publication readers have come to expect.”
Ballinger Publishing, established in 2002, is most well-known in the area for providing an array of community and regionally themed publications, including Pensacola Magazine, NW Florida's Business Climate, Pensacola Downtown Crowd, Gulf Breeze Magazine, Coming of Age and The Healthy Alternative.
