"My wife and I had to move in here sight unseen from Upstate NY on short notice, so my wife could accept a job offer from Disney. We were told it was recently renovated and only 15 minutes from Disney. The commute is actually 45 minutes to up to 2 hours do to traffic. The "renovations" were obviously done by the lowest bidder by people with little to no idea how to do that kinda of work. Counter tops are not connected to the cabinets below them, so they lift right off. Any area not within direct eyesight isn't sealed, giving bugs free reign of the apartment. Cockroaches are everywhere, no matter how much you clean. All the seals in the bathrooms are cracked, letting water leek into the walls, I cant only imagine the mold festering in there. Maintenance, while competent, takes weeks to get around to the simplest tasks. Painting was done quickly, with no regard to quality. Something highly annoying to me was the only apartment available at my time of move in was a "lake view apartment, with tile floor", both of which you have to pay more for. Upon getting to my apartment I found no tile, only wall to wall carpet, and while the building was on the lake, my apartment only faced the parking lot, which is often filled with trash, people driving the wrong way, trash, and pot smoke. And now for quite possibly the worst thing about this place, the other tenants. My wife works 50 hours a week, and I work from home, we like our peace and quiet. There is none of that here. Everyday for 5 months we had to listen to sometimes as many as three different neighbors at the same time blasting music, always with the base so high you can feel it in the floors. Cars parked outside open their doors and blast music, for no apparent reason. We complained, but management would only send a letter out the next day that never worked. The "security" service they offer only works business hours, and only drives by, trying to look menacing. Living here has been a nightmare."

"If you read no further than this I'll just straight tell you DO NOT LIVE HERE...now for the reasons. There are 2 good things I can say about the complex, it's cheap, and if you're on the backside of a building, the lake view is wonderful and you feel very secluded. Now for the laundry list of bad things. The front is loud, and many of the tenants are extremely dirty which shows out in the parking lot. There are many drug dealers in the area and we hear at least one set of gunshots a night. The surrounding area is also very crime ridden, so it's generally not a safe area. The staff is incompetent except for the head maintenence guy, Bill. Unfortunately he can't do everything by himself so most things go unattended. For example we have had a hole in our roof since June(it's October 10th now) despite going into the office a multitude of times. We had ants which took almost a year to finally be taken care of and lost lots of food in that time. We have termites which are being left unattended and when we go to the office we hear "Oh that hasn't been taken care of yet, we'll send someone right out" then no one comes. We have mold and water damage, also being left unattended. They did a half assed job on renovations so there are multiple locations in the apartment that weren't touched because (i assume their attitude was) "Who is gonna see that?" We have been told that tenants issues are intentionally being ignored because they are doing other things to the complex...those things include lighting the dock, putting up a volleyball net, and putting in a gate. Which would all be wonderful if there weren't so many other things that needed to be handled first for us to live here. I could continue but I think you get the picture. The staff do not care about the tenants, the apartments, or the complex in general. I'll say it again. DO. NOT. LIVE HERE. Bella Lago? More like Hella Lago."
